The Abbey Resort Lake Geneva, Lake Geneva

My experience at the resort was quite disappointing overall. While the grounds were lovely and the views of the lake were beautiful, the service left a lot to be desired. I struggled with check-in and found my room to be less than satisfactory after a long wait. It was my first time having to leave a hotel early, which speaks volumes. I certainly expected better considering the price I paid.

The spa experience was truly relaxing, and I enjoyed the treatments. However, the overall service left much to be desired, as many areas felt neglected, especially the pool area. The room did have some issues with cleanliness and updating, which detracted from my stay. While there are good amenities and activities available, the staff needs to be more attentive to maintain the standards expected from a resort spa.

The Abbey Resort is a nice spot for a getaway, especially if you enjoy having facilities like pools nearby. While the adult-only pool area was peaceful, the overall service felt a bit stretched during the holiday weekend, which made some experiences less enjoyable. The location is great for exploring Lake Geneva, but if you’re looking for a more upscale experience, you may find it slightly lacking. The dining options could be improved, especially for families with children.

I had an amazing experience at this resort! The spa day before the wedding was incredibly relaxing, and the atmosphere during the wedding was just perfect. It truly felt like a special occasion. On the downside, some aspects of cleanliness left a lot to be desired, particularly in the villa. Although I enjoyed my stay, there were a few service hiccups that could be improved upon.
